After our Shabbat morning services, Rabbi Avi Killip, VP of Strategy & Programs at the Hadar Institute, will teach a shiur/text study, exploring:

Why do we feel scared to open our doors to those in need? What is behind our fears? What holds us back from truly opening our homes? Together we will read three lesser-known stories from the Talmud about what may happen when we open the door, what happens when we don't, and what our behavior can teach us about ourselves.

Learning will be followed by a catered lunch and then Mincha. Child care will be provided during the shiur. Register online at the link above, or if you would prefer to pay by check, please contact Jessie in the office at 212-874-7005 or office@sznyc.org as soon as possible to confirm your tickets.
