Davening & Dinner featuring Israeli human rights lawyer Sari Bashi

  • Franciscan Community Center 214 West 97th Street New York, NY, 10025 United States (map)

Sponsored by the David, Ursula, & Adina Michaeli Memorial Education Fund

Join us for a joyful evening of tefillah, beginning with Mincha at 6:15 p.m. Following services, we'll enjoy a catered meal and learn from our featured guest speaker, Israeli human rights lawyer Sari Bashi.

This evening’s talk, The Struggle for Normal Life in Gaza, will give us a peek at life in Gaza and the Israeli policies that have shaped it for the past 70 years. Who supplies the water?  Who runs the schools?  Why are power outages a daily occurrence?  This is an invitation to deepen our understanding of Israel's relationship to Gaza and the West Bank and the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas.
