The month of Elul begins on Shabbat, August 15 -- the beginning of the period of repentance and reflection that leads up to the High Holidays. Rabbi Geffen will kick-off a three-part class addressing Teshuvah (Return), Tefillah (Prayer), and Tzedakah (Righteous Acts), which will include learning piyyutim (liturgical poems) that we sing on the High Holidays. All classes will be held after kiddush lunch.
