210 W 93rd street open!

On June 15, Shaare Zedek and Kehilat Hadar moved out of Schechter Manhattan, where KH had met for the past 13.5 years and where both communities embarked on Joint Operations almost five years ago.

Now, as an enriched and expanded community, we are preparing to moved into the beautifully renovated space on West 93rd Street, at the site of Shaare Zedek's home for over 100 years.

Community leadership is working very hard to set up the space, update processes, establish protocols, and ensure a thoughtful transition into ownership of a newly renovated space. We appreciate everyone’s patience and flexibility. Thank you to everyone who is helping to unpack and get our new home ready

We are thrilled to move forward in this next stage of cultivating a traditional, egalitarian, lay-led Jewish community on the Upper West Side.

Check out this article about our upcoming collaboration with the Hadar Institute in the new building.

About shaare Zedek

Open the gates of righteousness for me, that I may enter them and praise God. -- Psalms 118:19

A fixture in the Manhattan Jewish community since 1837, Congregation Shaare Zedek is a home away from home for those drawn to traditional prayer and practice in an intimate, multigenerational, and egalitarian setting.
